How Do You Describe Your Networking Company?

Lisa Yeaton Manager, Social Media Publicado 4 May 2024

If you had to describe Extreme Networks in one word, what would it be?

For me, that’s an easy one – extreme. What do I mean? «Extreme» means «to reach for the highest degree» and I believe Extreme Networks is always reaching for the highest degree; I see it in all of my passionate colleagues, our world-class solutions, and most importantly our valued customers.

When I describe Extreme to my friends I’m always quick to say how impressed and amazed I am by my colleagues. Why? Because nothing ever stops our team from working the hardest we possibly can. At all times our team goes above and beyond to meet all tasks and address every customer need. There’s a reason why our Global Technical Assistance Center (GTAC) is ranked #1 in the industry by customers. Our dedication doesn’t stop with our support team; I’ve truly seen this commitment and ‘extreme attitude’ in each of my coworkers, and I feel incredibly fortunate to work with such passionate individuals.

How many networking vendors can make these claims?

I can only think of one… At Extreme, we are constantly innovating, it’s in our DNA. We have been a pioneer in networking for 20+ years, delivering the first Gig Ethernet switch, and then the first 10 Gig Ethernet switch. With better solutions like the Smart OmniEdge, Automated Campus, and Agile Data Center we provide customers with better business outcomes.

As our CEO Ed Meyercord says,

We don’t win until the customer does. We’re not driven by our stock price, but rather by our customers. That’s how we win!

Our global customer base of over 30,000 defines so much of what makes Extreme, Extreme. Being a Customer-Driven Networking company is at the core of what we do every day. It’s about listening to customers and building the solutions they need. We make all of our decisions with customers in mind. They are our focus and we want to ensure their needs are always exceeded.

I had the pleasure of sitting down with some of our esteemed customers at our user conference, Extreme Connect 2018. I asked them, “If you had to describe Extreme Networks in one word what would it be?” They gave me a lot of great feedback, but don’t just take my word for it, listen to what end users have to say about Extreme:

So, if you had to describe Extreme Networks in one word, would it be something different than what these customers or I said above? If so, please send us your response:
