Kimberley Basnight Senior Vice President of Talent and Head of Diversity and Inclusion Publicado 29 Abr 2024

We’re pleased to announce that Computerworld has named Extreme Networks to its 2023 list of Best Places to Work in IT. This list identifies top work environments for technology professionals based on a comprehensive questionnaire, reviewed and vetted by industry experts, regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, career development, DEI, future of work, training, and retention.

Extreme was ranked No. 8 among the top 20 midsize organizations on the Best Places to Work in IT list. In addition, Extreme ranked in the Top 10 lists for benefits, career development, and hybrid work.

At Extreme, we strive to create an organization-wide culture and environment that supports our employees and proactively encourages a healthy work/life balance. In our IT department, led by CIO John Abel, we’ve taken steps to ensure our IT team feels supported and valued regardless of job title or location, including deploying new technologies that enable flexible work and ensuring that everyone up to our C-suite executives are always accessible for conversation.

“Between the many changes we’ve faced over the last two years and the current IT skills shortage, it’s hugely important for Extreme and for me as the CIO to create a professional work environment where our IT team feels valued, energized, and excited to come to work every day. Our amazing culture is a driver of our success in the market and a reason why customers and partners choose to work with us. There’s truly never been a better time to be at Extreme.” – John Abel, CIO, Extreme Networks

At Extreme, our culture is guided by our core values of Candor, Transparency, Curiosity, Teamwork, Ownership, and Inclusion. Here are a few ways we’ve demonstrated our commitment to creating an excellent work environment:

  • We operate with a Flex First model – no matter where in the world our employees are working, they feel connected through technology, our amazing employee groups, and our great culture.
  • Advancing diversity in the workplace is paramount for us – Our DEI Council oversees our diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, including supporting our Employee Resource Groups. We currently have 9 different groups and will continue to add others!
  • Through comprehensive and competitive compensation and benefits, we endeavor to provide resources and benefits to our employees and their families to support and maintain good physical, emotional, and financial health.

Hear for yourself what it’s like to work at Extreme directly from our employees:

“Adapting to a ‘new normal’ has put additional demands on IT organizations at companies of all sizes. This year’s winning companies have stepped up with increased IT staffing and a variety of innovative professional development opportunities. The results of these efforts is that not only are IT staffs engaged and productive, but the entire business benefits from IT’s ability to support evolving workplace models and changing business and customer needs,” said Rob O’Regan, Global Content Director, Foundry. “Importantly, this year’s award winners are laser-focused on diversity initiatives to expand the IT talent pool and promote workplace diversity and inclusion.”

Here at Extreme, we believe in celebrating our employees every day. We are committed to fostering an environment where every employee can thrive, and our company benefits as a result.
